Bet on Ligue 1 with Bitcoin: Odds for 2026/27
Thirty-four matchdays, all of them on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, no midweek rounds at all: the Ligue 1 2026/27 calendar runs from 21 August to 29 May with a cleaner shape than most European leagues, and that changes how you plan a season's betting. Every round lands on a weekend, the winter break is a firm three weeks from mid-December, and the last two matchdays kick off simultaneously. BetFury carries all 306 matches, but the more useful question is where the value actually sits, because one of the three long-term markets here is close to dead on arrival.
Paris Saint-Germain Win the Title. The Other Two Markets Are the Real Bet.
PSG open at 1.13 to win Ligue 1 again. That is not a market, it is a formality with a price attached. They have won 12 of the last 14 titles, arrive on a run of five straight, and their most recent wage bill was reported around 535 million euros, more than three times the next-highest payroll in the division. Opta's pre-season simulation gives them a 68.1% title probability, and no mainstream French outlet is treating the race as open.
Back a 1.13 favourite all season and you tie up stake for nine months to win 13%. The two markets underneath it are priced completely differently.
Top 3 Finish is where the competition actually lives. PSG are not even offered a price in it, so the market is a straight fight for the two places behind them: Marseille 2.1, Monaco 2.55, Lens 2.9, Lille 3.1, Lyon 3.5, then Rennes at 5.6. Six clubs inside a 3.5-point spread, with real separation between them, is a genuine contest.
To be Relegated is the other live one, and it carries the league's most distinctive mechanic.
The Barrage Nobody Explains
Two clubs go down from Ligue 1 automatically. The 16th-placed side does not: it plays a two-legged relegation play-off, the barrage, against the winner of Ligue 2's own promotion play-off bracket. Last season Nice finished 16th, drew 0-0 away at Saint-Etienne, then won the home leg 4-1 to stay up.
That third relegation place is decided in a knockout tie, not by the table, which is why the bottom of the relegation market is priced the way it is. Le Mans lead at 2.1, with Troyes and Angers both 2.2, all three newly promoted or expected to struggle. Brest and Le Havre follow at 4.0. Finishing 16th is not survival here, and it is not relegation either.
Ligue 1 2026/27: The Season Behind Those Prices
What the Table Did Last Year
PSG took the title with 76 points, six clear of Lens on 70. Lille finished third on 61, Lyon fourth on 60, then Marseille and Rennes level on 59. That top three go straight into the Champions League league phase, Lyon enter at the third qualifying round, Marseille and Rennes take Europa League places, and Monaco drop into a Conference League play-off. Seven European entries from one 18-club league keeps mid-table fixtures meaningful deep into spring.
Who Came, Who Went
PSG bought Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco for a reported 50 million euros and sold heavily: Goncalo Ramos to Milan for 74 million, Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus for 41.2 million, Kang-in Lee to Atletico Madrid for 40 million. Their summer balance came out around 100 million euros positive. Marseille sold Mason Greenwood to Fenerbahce for a reported 39 million. Monaco's headline arrival was Matthis Abline at about 25 million, and they confirmed Paul Pogba's departure. Lyon kept trimming the squad under pressure from the French financial regulator, selling Afonso Moreira to Bayer Leverkusen for a reported 32 million.
Ten New Benches
Around ten of the sixteen non-promoted clubs changed head coach this summer, an unusually large turnover even by Ligue 1 standards. Davide Ancelotti took over at Lille, Bruno Genesio moved to Marseille, Filipe Luis arrived at Monaco, Dino Toppmoller at Lens, Olivier Pantaloni at Nice, and Will Still at Auxerre. Lyon kept Paulo Fonseca. Early-season form guides are close to worthless when that many squads are learning a new system at once, and prices move harder on single results in September than they will in March.
Lens also beat PSG 1-0 in the Trophee des Champions on 16 August, which is exactly the kind of result that shifts a model's numbers: Opta's PSG title probability came into this season at 68.1%, down from 78.7% a year earlier.
Every Ligue 1 Market on the Board
The league listing shows 1X2, but a match page opens up nine tabs. On Rennes against PSG the Main tab alone carries 29 markets, with Bet Builder at 37, Halves 34, Stats 33, Extras 30, Totals 29, Player Props 23, Fast 17 and Handicaps 9. The core group:
1X2, Double Chance and Draw No Bet: the base result market plus two ways to reduce draw exposure, which matters in a league that averaged 2.82 goals a match last season. Asian Handicap and team totals: a line set per club rather than per match, useful when PSG are 1.51 away at Rennes and the result is not the interesting question. Both Teams to Score, full match or by half: including a both-halves variant. Corner and booking markets: totals, over/under and a separate 1X2 on who wins the corner or card count, priced independently of the goals market. First-half markets in depth: 1X2, double chance, handicap, correct score, odd/even, total corners and total bookings, all for 45 minutes only. Combination markets: 1X2 with a total, 1X2 with both-teams-to-score, or a total with both-teams-to-score, settled as one bet. Specials: whether a penalty will be awarded, whether a named side picks up a red card, and 1X2 with Early Payout.
Winner, Top 3 and Relegation Odds
| Club | Winner | Top 3 Finish | To be Relegated |
| Paris Saint-Germain | 1.13 | not offered | not offered |
| Olympique Marseille | 13.0 | 2.1 | 250.0 |
| AS Monaco | 17.0 | 2.55 | 200.0 |
| RC Lens | 21.0 | 2.9 | 150.0 |
| Lille OSC | 21.0 | 3.1 | 150.0 |
| Olympique Lyon | 26.0 | 3.5 | 125.0 |
| Stade Rennes | 81.0 | 5.6 | 41.0 |
| Strasbourg | 150.0 | 13.0 | 17.0 |
| Le Mans | not offered | 225.0 | 2.1 |
| Troyes | not offered | 225.0 | 2.2 |
| Angers SCO | not offered | 225.0 | 2.2 |
Rennes are the interesting name across two markets: 5.6 to finish top three, 41.0 to go down. That gap says the market sees a club with a top-six ceiling and almost no floor risk, which is a different profile from Strasbourg at 13.0 and 17.0 respectively.
Opening-weekend prices tell the same story about the gap at the top. Rennes vs PSG has the champions at 1.51 away from home, a shorter price on the road than most title favourites get at home.
Further down the card the numbers open right up. Toulouse vs Lyon is close to a coin flip at 2.84 for the hosts and 2.38 for a Lyon side that finished fourth. Even the fixture that opens the season is tighter than the table suggests. Marseille vs Strasbourg has the hosts at only 1.72 against a side that finished six points behind them.
Betting Ligue 1 with Bitcoin and Crypto
Fund the account in Bitcoin or a supported stablecoin, place the bet from that balance, withdraw to your own wallet on the network you chose. Confirmation runs on the network's clock rather than a bank's, which is the practical difference on a Friday night 20:45 kickoff when the deposit needs to land in the next ten minutes.
The choice worth making deliberately is which asset holds the balance. A Ligue 1 outright placed in August does not settle until late May, so a volatile coin means the real value of the stake moves for nine months alongside the bet itself. A stablecoin leaves the odds as the only variable still in play. Network selection matters just as much: a fast, low-fee chain confirms in well under a minute, while a congested base-layer transfer can cost more and take considerably longer for the identical deposit.
Ligue 1 Against Five Other Competitions
| Competition | Teams | Matches per season | Season window | Most titles |
| Ligue 1 | 18 | 306 | August to May | Paris Saint-Germain, 14 (all French pro titles since 1932) |
| Eredivisie | 18 | 306 | August to May | Ajax, 36 (all-time Dutch top flight) |
| Brasileiro Serie A | 20 | 380 | January to December | Palmeiras, 12 (CBF unified count) |
| Canadian Premier League | 8 | 112 plus playoffs | April to November | Forge FC, 4 (North Star Cups) |
| Copa Libertadores | 32 in the group stage | 155 | February to November | Independiente, 7 (since 1960) |
| Premier League | 20 | 380 | August to May | Manchester United, 13 (Premier League era only) |
The season window column is the one to read twice. Ligue 1, Eredivisie and the Premier League all run August to May, so their outright markets settle within a fortnight of each other. Brasileiro Serie A and Copa Libertadores run the calendar year, and the Canadian Premier League packs its whole season into April to November. Holding outrights across two of those calendars means something is always live, which is a different bankroll problem from betting one league at a time.
Note the basis on the titles column, too: PSG's 14 counts every French professional championship since 1932, while Manchester United's 13 counts only the Premier League era since 1992.
Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga odds board make a useful pair, since both run 18 clubs across 306 matches yet hand you the same structural problem from opposite directions: one has a heavy favourite and a wide-open chase for Europe, the other a heavy favourite and a scoring rate that reshapes every totals market.
Ligue 1 Betting FAQ
Is PSG at 1.13 worth backing for the title? The price already reflects 12 titles in 14 seasons and a wage bill three times its nearest rival. It leaves almost nothing for a surprise, which is why the Top 3 Finish market, where six clubs sit between 2.1 and 5.6, gives a more competitive read on the season.
Why is PSG missing from the Top 3 Finish market? They are not priced in it at all, since the Winner market already covers them. The Top 3 market functions as a contest for the two places behind PSG, which is what makes it competitive.
Does this page have a Ligue 1 top scorer market? No. The Outrights tab covers Winner, Top 3 Finish and To be Relegated, all closing 30 May 2027. Goalscorer betting is available fixture by fixture through the match-level markets instead.
How does the Ligue 1 relegation play-off work? The bottom two clubs are relegated automatically. The 16th-placed club plays a two-legged tie against the winner of Ligue 2's promotion play-off, and the winner of that tie plays in Ligue 1 the following season. Nice survived it last season, beating Saint-Etienne 4-1 in the second leg.
How many matches are in a Ligue 1 season? Eighteen clubs play 34 matches each, home and away against every other side, for 306 matches in total. The season runs 21 August 2026 to 29 May 2027, with no midweek rounds and a winter break from mid-December to 2 January.
Can I bet on Ligue 1 with Bitcoin or other crypto? Yes. Deposit in Bitcoin or a supported stablecoin, bet on any fixture or on the three long-term markets, and withdraw to your own wallet whenever you choose.
Five Angles for the 2026/27 Season
- Treat the Winner market as settled and spend the research time on Top 3 Finish, where Marseille at 2.1 and Monaco at 2.55 are separated by real uncertainty rather than by PSG's payroll.
- Watch the promoted clubs' away form specifically. Le Mans are back in the top flight after 16 years and Troyes after three, and both open as relegation favourites at 2.1 and 2.2.
- Card and corner markets price independently of goals here, and a card-heavy derby does not need to be a goal-heavy one. The 2026/27 laws also add a five-second countdown on throw-ins and goal kicks, which slightly reduces the time-wasting that inflates late-game bookings.
- Early-season Bet Builder combos carry more risk than usual with ten new managers in the division. A three-leg combo built on August form is a bet on squads that have barely played together.
- The weekend-only calendar means no fixture congestion excuse for rotation until the European rounds bite. A club playing Thursday in the Conference League betting markets is a different proposition on the Sunday than a club with a clear midweek.
